My entry for my school's Motion competition.
We had only two constraint : the video had to be less than 30 seconds long and the theme was "Mental Health".
I wanted to talk about less known mental illness and while listening to podcast about the borderline personality disorder, I felt it was important to show the dissonnance one could have when the trouble is not diagnostiged, and that therapy can help you live with your illness.
My research :
To make the main character stand out, I used a different type of brush than for the rest of the animation. The environnement and other character are inspired by mixed media technique like gouache or pastel and is in a semi realistic style, the protagonist is angular, with glitch effect and has no contour.
